Why Peach Sunsets exists

Good software keeps, usually right after the company behind it gets bigger.

I’m Scott Purdie. I build software in Edinburgh. One person, no investors, no board setting the roadmap.

I watched Eventbrite freeze in time and coast on its name. I watched Fresha pull salons and physios in as “free,” then start renting them their own customers. And I watched my partner fight ClassForKids, a desktop app forced onto a phone, tapping boxes too small for a thumb, chasing emails that never arrived, writing to a support team that had gone quiet after the business changed hands.

So Peach Sunsets exists to build the products I wish existed. Calm software. Built to stay that way.

What I believe

Software should make users feel calm.

Businesses should own their customers.

Growth should never make a product worse.

No investors. No committees. No growth-at-all-costs targets.

Just one person in Edinburgh, building useful software carefully and polishing it in the open as it grows.
